Chongqing Cummins Engine Co., Ltd(CCEC), joint venture company , was established in October,1995, located in Chongqing,China. The Chinese parent company is Chongqing Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd. The foreign parent company is the United States Cummins ( China ) Investment Co., Ltd. , the investment ratio is 50% of each sides. Now the total staff of CCEC is more than 1,400 people. The predecessor of CCEC is Chongqing automobile engine factory , Specializing in the design and manufacture of diesel engines from the 1950 ‘s.

CCEC, as the beginning of  local production of Cummins diesel engine in China , is the largest heavy-duty engine and high-horsepower engine manufacturing plant in China . In 1981 , Cummins and former China National Heavy Duty Truck formally signed a license agreement to begin producing large horsepower diesel engine in Chongqing. After years of development, they continue to deepen bilateral cooperation . CCEC has been the rapid growth of business and an important driving force in China.

CCEC mainly produces M, N,  K three series of diesel engines, generators and other power units , the power range of engine is from 145KW to 1343KW(200HP-1600HP). And the annual output capacity of CCEC is about 15,000 units. The application is for heavy-duty vehicles, large buses , construction machinery , mining machinery , petroleum machinery , rail , port machinery , stationary and mobile diesel generator set and power plant , marine propulsion units and auxiliary power units, pumps power units and other power unit .The main products meet the Chinese national standard , American standard and European standards for road vehicles with diesel engines Stage 2 and Stage 3 emission requirements ( Euro 2 and Euro 3 ) , and non- road vehicles with diesel Phase 1 and Phase 2 emission requirements (Tier 1 and Tier 2).
